Business Portraits

Your portrait must portray an image that reflects YOU in business. Having a professional business portrait to represent your company, whether it's large or small, is extremely important. Research has shown that the public needs to feel a connection with you and your company, and an excellent way to do this is with a professional portrait.

If you're showing  an unprofessional iimage that is exposed too dark or too light, with poorlighting on your face, poor expression, not retouched correctly so it's now showing areas that you wish weren't showing, or you're posed too stiff and unnatural, then it will send a very poor image of you, your company and product to the public.

On the other hand, when you have an outstanding professional image it sends a message, many times completely unconsciously, to your potential customers that you believe in your product, you're professional and that you can be trusted.

Apparel Suggestions for Your Business Photo Session:

  • Clothes should be simple but classy. Remember you don't want to distract from the main attraction (you).
  • For gentlemen: A nice business suit or nice button up dress top. Darker colors usually work well. Avoid turtlenecks.
  • For women: A nice blouse or suit. Muted colors of silk or satin usually looks nice. Avoid loud clashing colors. Nothing that makes too much of a fashion statement.

Things to Avoid:

  • Bright pinstripes (subtle gray stripes on a dark suit is okay)
  • Bright Orange or Red
  • Floral patterns
  • Loud clashing colors
